The Trooper Eric Nicholson K9 Fund was founded to honor SC State Trooper Eric Nicholson and his sacrifice. The fund began as a special way to remember the 10th anniversary of his death on December 6, 2010. Eric was shot and killed in the line of duty in Greenville County, SC on December 6th, 2000.Now, nearly three years later, the fund has raised enough to provide numerous K9 officers to law enforcement agencies in the Upstate South Carolina. Our continuing goal is create public awareness and raise funds to provide additional K9 officers.
Canine officers serve in numerous law enforcement roles including drug detection, arson investigation, tracking, bomb detection and susect apprehension. These highly trained dogs are a valuable resource to the agencies that keep our community and state safe. Please consider donating to honor Tropper Eric Nicholson but to also support the men and women of South Carolina law enforcement. You can follow us on Facebook by becoming a fan of the Trooper Eric Nicholson K9 Fund, or by joining the Trooper Eric F. Nicholson Association group.
Since Eric's death, his wife Misty and Eric's family and friends, have held blood drives each December in both South Carolina and New York in his memory. Please consider participating in the next blood drive this December. Please help with our continuing mission so that Eric's sacrifice will never be forgotten and his love of law enforcement will live on.
